Unit 10 Schedule
2013 - 2014

The following schedule information was prepared at the beginning of the unit.  It is not fixed in stone. It's role is to serve as an organizational tool for students to find both required and helpful resources relevant to daily activities. The schedule is seldom updated as the unit progresses; if we fall behind, then topics or depth of topics will be reduced in order to keep the overall pace required to maximize coverage of the entire curriculum.

Monday, February 24 Lesson Plan: Any Unit 9 MOP Codes? (first call) Start Unit 10 - discuss vectors, forces, force components, equilibrium; selected Qs from pp. 1-4 (quickly) Do selected problems from pp. 5-6 (like #1, #3) Do Lab SE7 - Coulomb's Hair Lab Homework: Prepare for Unit 9 Test Announcements: FYI: Unit 10 has a short MOP module (~3 assignments) and several short WebAssign problem sets. The unit will end in ~8 days. There is a Unit 9 Test tomorrow Online Help:

Wednesday, February 26 Lesson Plan: Test comments Electrostatics and vectors: pp. 5-6, Q#4, 5 Check Reading Guide; Fnet = m•a with Vector Applications Equilibrium: do p. 4, Q#5-6 (as time allows) Lab VF3 - Sign Hanging Lab Homework: TPC Reading:  Motion and Forces in Two Dim'ns, Lesson 3d WebAssign Vectors and Forces #1 (Electrostatics + Equilibrium) Announcements: Unit 10 has a short MOP module (~3 assignments) and several short WebAssign problem sets. The unit will end in ~8 days. Bring your calculator everyday and prepare to do the SOHCAHTOA! Online Help:

Thursday, February 27 Lesson Plan: Forces at Angles with Fnet = m•a; check reading guide and start pp. 7-8 VF4 - Incline Plane Lab (as a Lab Test) Homework: WebAssign Vectors and Forces #2 (Equilibrium + Forces at Angles w/Fnet = m•a) Minds On Physics -  Assignment 2D2, 2D3 Announcements: As you can probably already tell, the complexity of the mathematics has picked up tremendously. Buckle down on your daily problem sets. Online Help:

Friday, February 28 Lesson Plan: Mr. H is at a STEM conference today but he will still be providing instruction via YouTube video. You will have to be a self-disciplined independent learner. Forces at Angles with Fnet = m•a; finish pp. 7-8 Mathematical Deriv'n of Inclined Planes (p. 9)Inclined Plane Analysis - p. 10 Homework: Minds On Physics -  Assignment 2D5 WebAssign Vectors and Forces #3 (Inclined Planes + Forces at Angles w/Fnet = m•a) Announcements: As you can probably already tell, the complexity of the mathematics has picked up tremendously. Buckle down on your daily problem sets. The Unit 10 Test on Friday, March 7. Visit The Review Session. Online Help:
